Beginners Luck!

I had the opportunity to join a hunt on opening day in Prince Edward County, and managed to bag a big boy! I couldnt understand why my buddy was so excited? (Thats my future hunting buddy in the pic...)

Weight - 22 lbs
Beard - 10 1/4 inches
Spurs - Both 1 1/8 inches
Score - 65

I may have to retire from the sport, as it wont get any better than this!

Damn nice bird! Congrats. If you anything like me I shot my biggest as a first and have been trying for 5 years to out do it so far with no luck.

man, i dont know about anywhere else but the 2 local gun shops in my area are having turkey contests and the one winning bird is 28lbs


i shot my first turkey ever last weekend, 19.5 lbs 7/8 and 1" spurs and a 9 1/4" beard

Just can't see it. Largest on the NWTF site (weight) is 26-27lbs.

32 pounds???!! Maybe if it was raised on sombody's farm and on a serious spaghetti diet.

I can second that, it was weighed in while I was checking my bird in. I don't think 32lbs is unobtainable, it's big, but not impossible.
