How about a simple Maple Leaf like the C7,

witht the wording Canadiangunnutz - Canadiengunnutz(whatever the french Equivalent)

Serial number : CGN 001-100

On the back side - "Restricted to Canadiangunnutz and Canadians Only"

I am not sure the fire control marking could be changed if you go with the bigger guys, I would think the rolling stamp is pretty standard.

Personally, I like rollmarking or etching - I don't want white laser engraving.

... Why not put the MSRP and a nutritional-info-esque list of all the % of each alloy that went into the metal the lower is made from? (Kidding) :p

... and no animals were harmed in the process. (For all the tree huggers outhere). ;)

I'd like to see a stripped, Mil-Spec, black receiver, etched with a modest outline of our Maple Leaf (like the C7s), and a custom customer chosen serial number on the right ricasso. No white, no color for me.

I like SAFE -- SEMI -- Fk'nEh

I really don't like labels on my crap, certainly not a kaleidoscope of colors on my ARs. So I'd like something simple and subdued. Something that doesn't make me look like a clown at the range, but still noticeable showing I AM A GUNNUT.

If you must have the beaver, have him a fair size and only as an etched outline, but large enough to take up most of the right side of the magwell. :) In fact, I think the CGN beaver is a must have. No additional CANADIAN GUNNUTZ text anywhere else. Just the CGN logo.

If you make the beaver too small, because of the amount of detail, it starts to look like crap. That's what I didn't like about the last one we had in white and too small ... it seemed smeared to look at.

I'd suggest creating artwork of our CGN logo that would be more appropriate for etching without making it different.

This logo, in all its glory as it is, would look very nice on a letterhead printed offeset ... and this website, but for etching, engraving, or such crude printing processes, the logo would need to be adjusted for such.

As an example, instead of the outlined text around the circle, have the same typestyle, but solid, not outlined. Remove the red color from the circle, from the beaver's scraf, hat and sleeve, remove the color from his face, tail and gloves and only keep the maple leaf on his t-shirt as a solid. In anotherwords, simplify it for the etching application. Maybe thiken the outline where needed.

Also, a shadow outline as it appears on CANADIAN GUNNUTZ, is not appropriate for small type. Too much small detail to make out what it really is and not appear blurred. Shadow outlines are best exploited on signage of large proportions.

You shouldn't sway too far from the logos original design. So keep the outline and the text in tact rather than just the beaver cut out and without the circle.

... and no more IB please, or I'm out.

IIRC on the Dlask buy, there were several left over.

I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure I got one of the last ones. When I bought mine 2.5-3 years ago, there were only three serial numbers left (of the original run) to choose from. The other two must be sold by now.

Put me down for one of the new ones, preferably with my CGN handle as a serial number.

Actually this sounds like a good option but would rather see the bullets instead of f**k em for auto. An auto setting is silly since none of this could ever be.

Gunnut doesnt translate well in french, so i suggest just the english wording.

The serial number should really be our handles here at CGN

I like the maple leaf idea. I also like the ####'n Eh, instead of auto, idea.

And I'd buy 2

I'm in for keeping it simple and classy.

C7 style maple leaf.
CANADIANGUNNUTZ under the leaf.
Serial of CGN 08-### (year and number in the run)
Safe, Semi and Infinity 8.

Call me old fashioned or a fuddy duddy (anyone use that term anymore?) but the zombie, barcode, badass stuff does nothing for me.

We only wanting the imagery on one side?

Put the outlined CGN beaver on the opposite side.

I'd say one with C7 markings would be nice... but we got spanked for that last time ;) Perhaps one that looks C7 but with a CGN twist of some sort so that Diemaco doesn't get there panties in a twist.

I like the ones with "Safe", "Troll", and "Zombie"

I like storms Idea "Safe", "Troll", and "Zombie" But also include the bar code / serial # idea that looks cool, I also like GT's CGN logo but don't think the beaver will work with brown fur. also like you using both sides of the frame.

I tryed to do the project about a year but ran into problems with mods as to most of the art work was going to be done in the USA. had a hard time finding someone in Kanada with the skills to do a good strong cut with lazer engraving. dlask did a nice job with the first run of CGN frames but would have liked a little deeper engraving cut. I sold my CGN frame and now I miss it. I would like to see a Stag frame or my favorite MEGA frame but booth these have logo on them, you need to find a good quality blank lower

If I have to make a choice from what zykopat made, I would say Version 1.4 But with GT's CGN logo instead on leaf.. Storm's idea has the cool factor "Safe", "Troll", and "Zombie" :D

:)
