Before this CGN site came up with the sponsored Dealers thing,, I didn't know we had so many AR15 options avail to us in Canada. I have had a look through the CGN Dealers that have AR15 offerings with prices on their websites and there are some very, very good kit with some very good prices. These are my observations.

1. Lowers
a. Stripped Lowers
Armalite/EE from Wolverine: 238.50
RRA from Questar: 269.00
Bushmaster from Questar: 329.00
Stag Arms from ArmsEast: ??,, broken link.

b. Lower Parts Kit
Armalite/EE from Wolverine: 109.70
RRA from Questar: 115.00
Stag Arms from ArmsEast: ??,, broken link.

c. Complete Lower
Stag Arms from ArmsEast: 395.00
Armalite/EE from Wolverine: 420.00
RRA from Questar: 429.00

2. Uppers
a. A4 Configuration
RRA From Questar: 709.00
Armalite from Wolverine: 895.00
Stag Arms from ArmsEast: 940.00 (includes A3 carry handle/site)

3. The full smash,, a complete Rifle
a. A4 configuration
RRA from Questar: 1239.00 (flat-top config only,, no carry handle/site)
Stag Arms from Questar: 1495.00 (with A3 carry handle site)
Armalite from Wolverine: ??,, couldn't find a price on the web site.

4. Conclusions
a. This is not a scientific comparison or anything,, but given that RRA, Armalite and Stag Arms products are all comparable in quality, these are my observations/conclusions.
- If I was looking to put together a lower,, I would go with the Armalite kit and stripped lower from Wolverine Supplies. Total cost of 348.20.
- If I was looking for a lower that is already good to go,, I would get a Stag Arms from Arms East. Total cost of 395.00.
- If I was looking for a complete A4 rifle and wasn't concerned with a mismatched upper/lower,, I would get a complete Stag Arms Lower from ArmsEast and match it up with a RRA upper from Questar. Total cost of an amazingly low 1104.00.
- If wanted a complete A4 from one manufacturer,, I would get the RRA Standard A4 from Questar. It even comes with a 2 stage match trigger all for 1239.00!! That is an amazing price.

Having a look at all the above,, the next AR15 I would consider buying would be a RRA from Questar and would look something like this:
- stripped lower: 269.00
- lower parts kit with NM trigger: 249.00
- A4 upper, with .223 Wylde Chamber, 20" Wilson Air-Gauged Stainless Steel Barrel, 1:8 Twist: 789.00
- Grand Total: 1307.00!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm finding it very difficult not to call my order in right now. These prices just seem too low. Maybe I'm just dreaming all this,,

I'm impressed with your research, Shelldrake ! :p Well done!

Thanks for cutting through the BS.

Now, if we could get lots and lots more participation from all you black gun lovers to whatever black gun game your club offers we'd be out enjoying our black/green guns together.

Folks, thanks for supporting our dealers on CGNutz. They are taking a great risk and I'm super happy to say that I have dealt with many of them obtaining fabulous customer service.

Cheers,
Barney

Dlask is also out there. I know their stripped lowers are $250, not sure about the rest. They sell Armalite LPK's, by the way - don't make their own.

TSE sells DPMS stuff too, by the way.

ArmsEast Prices for STAG stripped lowers/uppers, etc are:

Lowers: $215.
Parts Kits: $115.
Upper Assembly: $206.

That's from Walt himself. I've got a stripped lower and parts kit on order.

I didn't include DLASK in this because they are not a CGN sponser. Since I just wanted to include sponsers who also have prices on their web site,, I didn't include TSE.

Everyone is just ga ga over Stag, and that includes me.... basically having the same milspec parts and finish as colt, and for that price!!! Can't say the same for RRA, and I've had that too. Those Stags are Definately my fav on your list...... especially after I spent 350+50tax+50ship for my bushy lower. But I do have a cmt/stag lpk...... and that has the best finish I've seen..... If nothing else get that LPK!!! the safety is soooo smooth:)

I put about a hundred rounds through the Stag Arms model 1R the other day at the range. What a pleasure to shoot. I'd recommend it to anyone who wants a quality shorty AR.

Is there any dealer here in Canada that offers complete RRA rifles? Would Wolverine Supplies order and ship a Rock River AR upon individual request?

Questar has complete RRA rifles.

If all the dealer rep's would put the pressure on LArue at this year's shot show, I'm sure they wouldn't ignore them. . Just talking to them seemed like they wanted to get into the civy market up here, but wanted someone else to worry about the paper work, he thought it was a nussance. If our dealer's like Wolverine or Questar w/ they're FFL contacts/middle man do the perms, we could have a steady supplier for some great parts. and I know from my PM inbox that they're is a huge demand for their parts. I don't know what Larue's minimum orders or commitment would be for civy dealers but Mike was saying they've filled canasdian mil/LE contracts, they've supplied Diemaco, RCMP ERT's w/ mounts and rails for a while now.
