Go shoot first, then decide. My opinions on what I've shot:
Glock 17: It's light and it's bullet proof. I think it's a tad too light as my hands tend to overcompensate when it's coming down from the recoil. It goes, goes a bit to low and then finally resettles back on target. I've always thought my hands were fairly big but that grip frame is MASSIVE, not that comfortable in my hands... Mind you, if the world ended tomorrow and I had to fight off hordes of zombies, I'd probably want a Glock. A 2nd generation glock with the smaller grip frame, but a glock nontheless.
Sig P226: Fairly light weight, rock solid and a good weapon. Controls are a tad confusing at first, you have to remember your thumb is on a decocker and not a safety / slide lock. Recoils a little snappier then the rest, but not as bad as a glock.
Beretta M92: Slides a tad light, recoil's about the same as a sig sauer along with the grip. Very ###y gun IMO, first one I ever fired and while the grip frame is big, it feels nice and natural in my hand.
Grand Power K100: Never truely believed that the rotating barrel actually helped reduced recoil until I fired that sucker. Next to no felt recoil and the grip's perfect in my hand, I can double tap a within 4 inches of each other in about the time it takes someone to cuss. The one at TSE was broken slightly but they confirmed that the K100's probably ate more ammo in six months then I will collectively shoot in all calibers in my entire lifetime.
H&K USP: Along with the K100, the USP is the reason I love polymer weapons. The gun is considerably more accurate then I am, grip is pretty good too and it's controls emulate a 1911, which is a plus. Magazine release however just weirds me out, hitting it is okay but it's still weird.
CZ75: Czechs know how to build guns. Pick one up, you got two and half pounds of only marginally diluted quality in your hands (more on the pure quality in a second). Eats recoil for lunch and still has room for dessert, ergonomics are top notch. Doesn't hurt too that IPSC Production Div is won more often then not by a CZ75 variant
Wilson Combat CQB: This is what pure quality is in terms of 9mm 1911's... unfortunately it costs more then a year of SAIT tuition.
And that's my current list of, "I've put a magazine through these guns," for 9mm
