Maybe if we talked to the right people we could convince them that a weekend of shooting sqeeks and telling lies is the best possible training prior to deployment.
Dave, after seeing you shoot last year, I think it would be only fair to give the bad guys some advance warning you're on your way, nobody should shoot that good (unless he's on our side:dancingbanana:)
Stay safe Dave, look forward to seeing you next year

Ah, I was hoping to see Dave again. One of memories from last year's shoot was Dave running the half mile back to camp with a full pack , carrying two rifles in full camo. His awesome little CZ 452 influenced me to buy one for this year's shoot and shooting his CZ858 was a blast. I was hoping to pay him back this year by letting him toy with my new rifles. Ah well, maybe next year.

I'm off to the range in the morning to try out even more loads for the .204. I'm really hoping to get this round shooting sub MOA. The CZ 452 I bought seems to like almost every .22LR round except the cheap stuff. I gotta find a good deal on some yellow jackets.

Captain2K and myself have a couple of goodies that are going to go to the first three gunnutz members who show up Starting Friday. There will be two lamps with Duracell batteries, and one gopher call. These are items that can be used over the Weekend and will be awarded to the first attendee's, as well as the chance to grace my camara lens. (look pretty :p)

Does anyone here have a new(er) hornady manual?
I need a starting load for 35 grain V-Max bullets in a .22-250.
I have IMR 3031 and Hogdon Varget on the shelf, and using standard primers.
Pm me if you want to .

Nate

I left Misson at 8:00PM, and made it here 11:00AM and that's driving through a blizzard from the toll booth to Kamloops. Leave sooner. :D

I'll be leaving from Red Deer, so I'll probably have to use chains for most of the trip, fortunately a cold beer at the end of the day is a great incentive:dancingbanana:

I'll be leaving Calgary around 0800-0830 hrs on Friday. Can you recommend a place to grab some lunch when I roll through the Hat?

LOL...how you think I ended up living in Calgary? :)

I was just in calgary last weekend. Took me an hour to find a way out that wasn't a parking lot! Yes I was on the deerfoot just after lunch on friday! I honestly don't understand how a MILLION people can handle living there!

There is a BP's here, but it is off the highway a few blocks. There is a Subway, an A&W and 2 :puke: McDonalds :puke: right along the #1.

If you want a sit down meal there are a few actual reastruants along there too.

Cool, thanks. Not sure if I want a sit-down or not at this point. Just going to play that by ear and see how the journey goes up to that point.

I was at that Subway once. I asked for directions to the Mall. She never told me it's on the #1. Ooooh no. That would have been just a little too easy. I took her directions, I even wrote them down. Instead I got to tour the Outdoorsman and ended up downtown a few times. :slap:

Isnt there also a lingerie bar a few block North of Hwy 1 at the East end of town?? Heard there used to be at least...
