We are hunting with St Lawrence Outfitters, the boys are doing a good job for us.....

here we are smiling with or without game. the most important good time together ....

It was a great time..... really positive group of guys, everyone willing to pitch in and do their share and more.... Hoytcanon and his son made a great meal Saturday night, leftovers will be tonight's supper. I bought a bunch of snacks, booze and other food and I think the cupboards are more full than they were before the group arrived....

Today's weather was pretty bad.... we got in the field this morning and it was -9 with 30 kph winds.... Still, we managed to persevere and put a few more birds down.....

Yep, I don't think we could have picked 3 worse weather days, but the guides all worked hard and got us on some birds....

We had some great moments, some were somewhat embarrassing...... :)

I will let the guys chime in with more, but get it started with one that was embarrassing for all of us......

During yesterday's hunt, there was a small flock of birds circling and commiting to the dekes..... We all had our heads down so they wouldn't see our pink wind burned faces when the guide called the shot.... 7 guys jumped up facing east ready to unleash some wrath..... trouble is, the geese were west of the blind (a fact the guide failed to inform us of)...

I looked down the blind from the end hoping that someone had the geese in sight, but nope.... 6 other confused hunters...

That being said, it was fairly impressive that we were able to find them, swing around safely and knock a few of them down......

A great hunt is more about the laughs and memories than number of birds taken . Looks like you guys are leaving the field with both enjoy .

It was a great weekend, and as canvasabck mentioned, filled with memories that will be remembered long after the bird count is forgotten.

For me, what stands out is getting to the field on day two and seeing the fields and decoys covered in a foot of snow and thinking holy crap, here we go again. I didnt have high hopes as we were dusting off the snow from the decoys, but I kept my opinion to myself. But nothing beats the feeling of having a large group of snows work their way in and sitting there head down and waiting for the call. One pass...two passes...and then it came.....F@CKING KILL'EM BOYS!!!!! It didnt take long for 7 guns to unload and watch a bunch of geese fall from the skies.

That feeling will never be forgotten, nor will the look of six other guys smiling from ear to ear. Just priceless!

Im assuming this was the first time most of you met....always nice when the chemistry works out well and everyone gets along. Good for you guys, makes me a bit jealous.
