anyone have experience ordering direct from CH4D?

they seem to be the only company that is listing some of the oddball dies I am looking for

280Ross, 30-30AI, 310Cadet

any issues with USPS shipping

experiences - good / bad ???

I have not dealt with CH4D, however, I always use USPS when shipping from the US. There is less surprises concerning brokerage fees when the package arrives.

I used them for honed full length die years ago. No issues with the shipping but they honed the neck way oversize from the case I sent. Wouldn’t take my word for it, had to ship it back, pay for return shipping, wait for them to do another and then wait for shipping again. I wouldn’t deal with them again.

I have ordered from them several times, no issues to speak of with regard to shipping or otherwise. I would recommend them without hesitation based on my experiences with them.

I ordered a set a few months ago. Very easy, clear communication and fast shipment. No issues at all. Dies are great other than the full length die was too long and didn't bump my shoulders enough. About .010" too long. I slimmed down a shell holder and was good to go.

I've been happy in my dealings with them but it's been a couple years since the last time.

Hopefully it's smooth sailing with them still. They provide something of an essential service if you get involved in oddball or obsolete cartridges.

have had them make custom dies with fire formed cases and chamber casts .Also have a body taper die for the 280 ross as forming the ross brass from parent cases with the loading dies will break the loading die

thanks for all the replies, I will be looking into getting an order placed.

yes I've heard of the potential for dies breaking when forming 280Ross brass,

My solution was to make my own forming die using 1 1/4 stock :) and harden it, won't crack that easily

Ordered a set of 404 Jeffery dies from them. No issues. Good to deal with.

I have a set of their .30 mauser dies I use for loading the 7.62x25 close enough to not matter.Nice dies.Sometimes with custom dies they want 3 fired brass before make you dies .......Homeland Security can be a PITA with this.
