Challenge: To identify magazine without a picture

OK guys, here's your challenge.
I'm trying to ID a typical metal 10 round .22 cal handgun magazine. I would post pics but don't know how so will try the blind mans challenge first. Its marked 1.............5.....8 on the right side ......and the body is triangular shaped, being much wider at the rear than at the front. The sides are very smooth and solid except for the button slot. .............What does it fit?

~ ".22 cal"... positively? Is the follower for a Long Rifle,or shaped for a short.
~ Logo on the floorplate?
~ How is the magazine retained?

and the winner is........[drum roll]..................Silly Mike. The old style Margolin! Exact. Thank you, thank you. I've spent hours on the internet looking at pics of mags, to no avail.
