I am looking at picking up one of the cans of 175 of the Challenger 12GA 2-3/4 00 Magnum Buck from FOC, but I've never shot any of it. Anyone have any experience with it and would like to offer an opinion?

It all depends on what kind of pattern you want ….. and what choke you are intending to shoot those rounds out of ….


Here is an example of Sellier & Bellot 00 Buckshot out of my 870 Police with Improved Cylinder Choke .... and I would assume that the Challenger patterns similarly ....

Thanks for your post. That is quite the difference for sure.

I'll be firing it out of an 870 Tactical with a cylinder choke. I think I'll do some testing before bulk buying.

FliteControl gives a very tight pattern. But it costs more.

if you want cheap 00Buck that patterns well, buy the 8-shot load instead of the 9-shot load. It will shoot tighter.
