Challenger 12GA Slug Price Check

Hi, I recently saw a comparison test and it shows how great the challenger 12 gauge slugs are at penetration. Decided that ill probably pick myself up a box. What I found Canadian tire was charging is $28 in one location and $31 in another both for the 10 round packs. Seems quite steep to me. Is this the going rate? Going to check my LGS soon before I give Canadian tire some money. Looking for what you folks are paying.

I don't know about Challenger slugs.., but I bought a case of Sellier and Bellot slugs from Reliable that have performed flawlessly. 250rds for $210, less than $1 a round. 25rd box is $23.

Edit: Didn't realize the Challenger slugs were magnums.

S&B are no challenger slugs
The Challegers at Reliable are all over $1.25/shell even in 250 packs

I haven't seen them for much under $2/pc for a few years now.

The days of $15/box of Challenger slugs are long gone. Buy them up if you ever see them on sale as they are one of the best for the money.
