Challenger Shotshells

Challenger is bargain price ammunition.
The shot in their "First Class" target ammo is as soft as the cheapest in the industry, shown by testing over on Trapshooters.com.
Soft shot is not First Class. There is a reason that the sale price is the lowest available.

And for most shooters, the lowest price still makes sense.

LGS has clearance of Challenger 'Tactical slugs' -1250fps ($160+tx/175 shells). Just over $1.05/shell tx-inc. Got the last box (in an ammo can). 1-oz slug not 'too bad' recoil in my 14" open choke, shot one box so far. I also have a few boxes of # 7.5 and 8, shooting with NO problems. Will buy more as $$$ allow.

I've shot a couple flats of the target loads. Never had a single problem. Miles better than cheap winchester target loads for sure. And theyre made in Canada. It's nice to support what little firearms related industry we have.

Shot a ton of them back when(mid 80's) the target load was in a red & white box. Our club had them for trap shooting. Weren't worth squat for reloading unless you had cheddite primers & the larger diameter wads for them.

I have had some bad lots of challenger steel. Wads stuck in the barrel, roman candle type rounds ect. The newer stuff seems better. The person who emailed you needs some grammar lessons.

My guess is that he/she is studying grammer on engrish.com.

its crap

Spend the money and get better, better yet get better when on sale - think ahead!

I only shoot Remington STS green or Winchester AA for Trap.

Hevi Shot, Remington or Winchester for ducks, cranes and geese: BBs or #2s as applicable, and Federal 2.75 #6 steel - awesome with a Jebs Long Range .685. I just get them on sale .....

Score and Challenger shoot dirty and are crap - my experience. There are better made.
