Hello, I will be hunting for a few days this year in a shotgun only zone. In the future I will look into a fully rifled barrel but at the moment I am shooting a Remington 870 super mag. I have 3 1/2" buckshot loads and challenger slugs. The challenger slugs work well with my gun but I will have to get some snap on sights to know exactly where the slug will land. Keeping in mind that my shots will all be under 100 yards mainly under 50 yards, would going to a full choke to tighten up the buckshot hurt the challenger slug accuracy that greatly?
I would not use the buckshot over 30 yards but I want to have that option if I drive through the thick stuff.
If anyone has any experience with these slugs I am all ears, please remember that I am not going to go out and buy a new gun I am a university student and funds are very tight.
Thanka
