I recently got my hands on a Derya MK12, lovely little shotgun. The issue im having with her is cycling; she eats up challenger magnum slugs but theyre costly. Im wondering if anyone has the specs on Challengers tactical slugs as they are available in bulk and not breaking my bank. The challenger 00Buck runs smoothly aswell but i cant find specs. I know the magnum slugs are 1610fps. Any info is greatly appreciated, Thanks!

It is not so much velocity but pressure at the barrel pressure port.
If you handload, use a medium speed or slower(if you want max velocity) and work up to the port pressure that works best.
Avoid the fast powders like Red Dot and 700X that we use for target loads.

I broke in my MK12 with Challenger Low Recoil slugs (1450FPS) and Challenger Tactical Buck (1300FPS)...Ran 2 boxes of each through it and had no cycling issues. Ran another 100 or so Federal 7.5 birdshot (1150FPS) through it and now it cycles everything flawlessly...The last 75 rounds of birdshot went through with zero stoppages.
