String cutting, tacks, popsicle sticks, old shotgun shells, ketchup packet's, clay birds, flys (stamps or stickers make them a little easier to rely on). Cards are fun with a muzzleloader.
At longer range with something bigger than a 22: eggs, potatoes, charcoal briquettes, milk jugs of water or ice, pop cans full of water, sticks of dynamite.....
Charcoal briquettes spray painted orange. Yes! Cheap disintegrating target at 50m. I hang 'em with wire.
Never had any luck detonating dynamite by shooting it
2L pop bottles full of gasoline and tightly capped, at dusk, beside a source of ignition (could be coffee can with roll of t.p. soaked in diesel or a camp fire) Shoot with high power rifle or 12 ga slug. Looks like a movie explosion....
