Challenging Target Ideas (card splitting)

String cutting, tacks, popsicle sticks, old shotgun shells, ketchup packet's, clay birds, flys (stamps or stickers make them a little easier to rely on). Cards are fun with a muzzleloader.
At longer range with something bigger than a 22: eggs, potatoes, charcoal briquettes, milk jugs of water or ice, pop cans full of water, sticks of dynamite.....

Charcoal briquettes spray painted orange. Yes! Cheap disintegrating target at 50m. I hang 'em with wire.

Never had any luck detonating dynamite by shooting it :(

2L pop bottles full of gasoline and tightly capped, at dusk, beside a source of ignition (could be coffee can with roll of t.p. soaked in diesel or a camp fire) Shoot with high power rifle or 12 ga slug. Looks like a movie explosion.... :)

I made a rack out of 2"x2"s. That hangs on my target stand and drilled holes 3 or 4"s apart the size of wooden matches. Stick them in the holes and put empty shotshells and empty 22lr brass on the match.I stapled piece of black Bristol board on the back so the 22 shells are easier to see. Shotshells are pretty easy at 50 yds but the 22 shells are challenging.

When I was a kid we used to steal track torpedoes from CNR caboose when rail crews would go for coffee at a local coffee shop. We'd hook then to a brick and shoot with our 22's. Quite a boom..
