Chamber bore sight

Not a chamber sighter, but I got two different bore sighters off Ebay for $12-15. They are better than the old Bushnell one I was using. The Bushnell could not be adjusted, and was off. These ebay ones you can align the laser if it ever needs it.

I have sighted in 3 guns with it so far. All have been about 1/2" off @ 25m, some minor adjustments and I'm bang on in about 3 shots or less.

There are many vendors. Seems like two versions, one is .22-.50, the other .17-.78. I say spend the extra $2-3 and get the .17-.78

These are excellent units, although,I have a new Bushnell Laser that's right on the money. It's amazing how much time and ammo you save with these.

Yes, pays for itself quite quickly. The Bushnell I had was an older one that I bought used, so it had a good life. The ones I got off Ebay are a much better quality than the old Bushnell I was using, I was quite pleased when I saw them.
Does the newer Bushnell have adjustment screws for the laser?

Newer bushnell ones are adjustable with four set screws.

I recommend putting it gently into a drill chuck on a slow speed to check concentricity.

I've got the one illustrated in the 1st picture. And, I find it frustrating that I am getting movement. Almost like the bushing that gets screwed into the unit depending on caliber, has some play.

The bushnell units are better? The fins on the bushings eliminate the play like on the one I have?

Mine has fins, and is a soft material so when you thread it down slightly the bushing expands into the bore. It can be a very tight fit.

Just make sure that you don't leave anything stuck in the bore before you shoot.

I recently purchased the Bushnell as well. Insert and turn slightly to expand the arbor and it fits like a glove. I've used it on 2 x .22 pistols and a rifle as well as a 9mm. Was very close to dead on for the pistols at 25 yards.

Thanks for the tip. I was wondering how I was going to adjust it if I ever needed to. I was thinking for the price to just get a new one, should this one get misaligned.

No problem, I figured that I would prefer 10 minutes of frustration to another $50.... But for some guns that is a box of ammo.
