I've never felt really comfortable with my chamber cleaning procedure, mostly doing the best i could with long, thin handled brushes, rags and whatever else that seemed to help get in there and clean it out.

There have also been some threads lately talking about the dangers of residue oil in a rifle chamber and the effect it has on brass gripping the chamber walls.

I did some looking around and Otis makes some pretty slick cartridge specific chamber brushes and mops, but only for 7.62x51mm and 5.56x45mm.

Are any of you using cartridge specific chamber brushes and mops, and where did you get them?

If not, what tools are you using to get in there and clean as well as mop up any residue?

I use a shotgun sized mop and a little shot of G96 on a short Tipton rod that came with the bore guide kit. I use it after cleaning the barrel in case anything seeped into the chamber, back and forth and around till satisfied.
