Does anyone know where you can get chamber inserts in Canada? The kind that let you fire pistol ammo, are they legal to import from the states?

this is for the short land pathfinder adapters. a bit of a cadillac, as the barrels are rifled. they work very well in break action shotguns if you search youtube.

"Self Reliance Outfitters" out of the US is where I got it from. They ship to Canada. I got mine when the dollar was at par, and all in it was about $130 after shipping etc. With the dollar where it's at, you're looking at a pretty pricey add-on. They do sell them in a number of different calibres, and you can get the short, non-rifled versions for a lot less, but not sure if you'd actually be able to hit anything with those.

The .22 rifled adapter is pretty good, and you can get fairly repeatable results out of it.

They're really prone to corrosion. I keep mine wrapped in an oily rag.

I did some testing with it, basically set up a single shot shotgun expressly for testing purposes. After I was done testing, I ended up keeping the setup. Not bad little camp gun. Minute of squirrel at 25 yards with the .22 adapter and a red dot, although all I ever shoot with it is pine-cones.
