Chamber Inserts

Anybody use the various 30 cal chamber inserts in 32 ACP, 7.62x25 etc? Is a guy better off with reduced loads?

What about the X-Caliber 12 ga inserts? Anything that could be called accuracy?

I use a 30-06 to 32 S&W Long and 32 ACP chamber insert... alot of fun especially if you have factory ammo to burn. But practically speaking, not particularly accurate. Reduced loads using Trail Boss and lighter cast boolets, for example, will give much better accuracy.

Pretty much what I figured. Is there anything that a X-Caliber insert in 380, 9mm, 44 mag can do that the 12 gauge can't with buckshot?

I have a .32ACP/.308 adapter. Reduced loads are more practical.
I've used .410/12ga adapters - they were more useful than the rifle one.

anyhooo i like them, cheaper to shoot my enfield but i get some weird looks when i ask for the 32 ammo at the local stores

My son runs a 32-20 in a 303 Br insert. It's neat, not groundbreakingly so... but decent enough. Hard to get the sights reconfigured ( in your head ) jumping from 303 br to 32-20 on the fly... but do-able.
