Hi everyone, I hate to sound like I'm looking for charity but I guess I am. Anyway, the company I work for we carry Smith and Wesson. 40's and we need to use these little red or yellow chamber flags when we store our weapons and a lot of the numpties I work with can't seem to keep track of them. So, long story short (too late)! I told my boss I would fall upon the generosity of my fellow cgn'ers and see if I could find any. I would be eternally grateful to anyone who has any of these little plastic empty chamber flags laying around if you haven't tossed them in the trash by now, if you could send them to me that would be great. Or, if anyone has a line on where I can buy a large number ( 20 or so ) at once, that would be cool too. Thanks

If your boss is running a for profit business, I'm not sure it's good form asking for freebies.

I'm sure a handful of CGN dealers carry chamber safety flags. I know Bull's Eye London does.

Barring that, a google search tuns up a number of bigger 'box store' possibilities.

Do like Jerry Miculek and use white or orange zip ties of the appropriate size and length for the caliber of pistol you are using. Very simple to use and is highly visible.

You can get them from the ipsc store aswell. It would be superfast shipping since they are located in Barrie, Ont. I bought a few from them. Think they are $2.50 each. Look it up on the net. Ipscstore.org under essentials.

Here is another option from Brownells...

Agreed.

Run a piece of weed wapper string through it and tie it in a bow.
That might keep them from "loosing it"...

Weed wapper? Be vewy vewy quiet.... :D

On a serious note, I've been using zip ties. Had a couple break making removal entertaining, but they work well. Need to find ones that are in better shape I guess.

I just use the orange sticks from the craft store that you can bend into shapes... Its easier to use than zip ties. :p

Order a bunch in and charge the numbties double for them. They are only $2.50 or so each. Donate the 'profit' to a local charity. They might learn to take care of their equipment and you'll be doing something good.

Spool of the heavy gauge weed wacker line and a roll of yellow or orange duct tape. Custom cut the length of the probe and width/ length of the flag. It'll take quite a while to run out of either material. Numtie loses one sit him in the corner and make him make 50 or so.

Zipties can be cut by the bolt and end up in the bore, like this one from Marstar:
