New brass needs the case mouth chamfered so that the sharp inside edge does not scratch bullets when seating.

Id process a big pile of brass I like to use a reamer chucked in an electric drill.

This long taper reamer cuts off the inside edge neatly. I buy them on ebay, shipped from China, for about $3.00

That idea will no doubt work very well with higher end brass - I just finished a fight with a bag of 100 Red Label Winchester - in 22-250 - as expected in bulk brass, very few had "round" case mouths - most had dents, or flats. Was not expecting that not a single one would accept the Lee Case trim pilot thing - I ran every one over the expander ball (only) in an ancient Herter brand FL sizer die and then the Lee Gauge entered properly. So it appears that Lee and old time Herter had a dimension in mind for case mouth diameter, that is different than this "new" red labelled Winchester. I do not recall such commotion with previous blue label Winchester - but, again, due to dents - I chose to make those case necks "round" by running over an expander ball, when I first loaded them. Out of the current red label bag of 100, about 15 of them required to be "full neck" sized - had deformities - looked like "spouts" on a pitcher - that would not chamber into my rifle at all - out of the bag. PITA that I still have two full bags of same thing to go through ...

I can too easily picture that giving pistol brass a new primer hole before doing anything for the case mouth!

Had no trouble with Lapua or Starline brass as-arrived, and most of my other brass has been previously loved.

Those long taper reamers are for rifle cartridges not pistol.

One thing to watch is if they get too dull, or the operator is using too much force, the case mouth can be flared as well as being chamfered.
