Wife and I just had our 27th anniversary, cableas US had this on sale: http://www.championtarget.com/traps/recreational/wheelybird/
Decided to splurge and ordered one, just tried it for the first time today.

Within about 5 minutes I looked at wife and said, "We're gonna need more clay"! :d

You know how you started reloading partly because factory rounds are so expensive and while you save 30-60% you don't really save anything as you just shoot more? It's kinda like that.

Far as the machine, it's simply great. Chucks pidgeons much further (like double the distance or close to that) than the spring arm chuckers, and with the 25' cord foot switch we shot some straight away, then moved the machine left so we were shooting birds flying from l to r, then did it the other way.

If you just hold the switch you can't, "quite" have 2 in the air at the same time, but it's quick enough you can shoot continuously.

The best part is it's much more fun with just two people as you don't have to take turns(one cocking/loading the chucker and the other shooting).

Prior to purchase read all the reviews and watched youtube video's on them. Very happy with the purchase.

I just bought the same machine in Canada. It is the cheapest that one can buy an automatic trap, yet the reviews are almost all very positive.
I plan on setting it up for some Sporting Clay type targets on our club range, and I am looking forward to shooting those clays with Black Powder shot shells.
Planning on some serious fun come spring melt.

I was looking into these a couple of days ago.
Trying to find the best price.
Did you order from the states? How much was it shipped?

I bought from Jo Brook in Brandon at a very good discount price. Net just over $380 including shipping and tax.

Yeah I went to buy one there but they raised the price. Not on sale anymore.
Too bad I missed it by a day I would have bought one there.

Dug out my cabela's bill; it was on sale for 300.00 with tax, shipping and handling, it came to 372.06 US. End result with exchange was just under 480.00.

Adds up quick, but still far less than any I could find in Canada. That was a smokin' deal from Brandon!

I suspect the wheelybird is on sale as they're bringing out a new model. I came across a youtube shotshow video of champion bragging up the new one.

If you can find one in Canada for under 400 that's pretty good I think. I searched online and never found anything under 500 before taxes/shipping in Canada. The only wheelybird I found here was someplace I'd never heard of and the price was quite high.

There was another brand that had good reviews as well; white something or other? Not on wheels though; don't remember the price of it. Make sure and check all the features when you're comparing as well.

Lawry shooting sports lists the wheelybird at $ 359.00 befor tax and shipping . if the other model your thinking of is do all don't waste your time and money .my club has 3 of the do all aerial assault 3.0 you couldn't build one that would work out of the 3 .

Thanks I will give them a call

Used my new Champion Wheelybird machine for the first time yesterday. One adjustment needed to the limit switch to get it working perfectly.
Throws the birds 65 yards with the spring at Max tension. Tension can easily be reduced for 50 yard throw. Had fun on a lovely sunny spring day.

Only critique at this point is about the plastic horseshoe on the top of the stack-loader being fragile - I can see it getting broken. I will be making an aluminum part to replace the plastic one.
I will also be cutting the 25 foot cord on the foot pedal trigger to allow an extension cord to be inserted to have the trap machine further from the shooters. This will allow targets more like sporting clays.
