Change barrel on old shotgun

I have an old side-by-side 12ga. shotgun that I believe to be a Parisienne. I have actually retired this gun as the barrel became dented and I was beginning to get scared, not knowing if it is properly proofed to fire modern ammo.

I would actually like to revive the gun and I was wondering if it will not be a simple process in that I can simply fit a new barrel.

I attach pictures of the gun and the detached barrel - any chance of my idea being possible/practical - will it be cost effective

It is most definitely not a simple process to rebarrel a double shotgun.
If you could post a photo of the proof marks, I am sure there are people here who could tell you whether the gun is intended for smokeless.
Barrel dents can be raised.

If when you mean dented you mean from the outside it is an easy fix for a good gunsmith.

If gunrunner has your barrels I say buy em even if you can fix yours.
