Are there any gunsmiths out there that can machine down the contour of stainless T/C Contender or Prohunter barrels?
I have two stainless 23" bull T/C Contender carbine barrels in 204 Ruger & 6.8SPC that I would like to get machined down to a factory taper and a stainless shortened to 22" fluted T/C Prohunter barrel in 25-06 that I would like to get a tapered contour on as well.
I find the barrels are far too front heavy especially for my youngest son.
I was thinking of getting the Contenders shortened but I would lose velocity the 25-06 Prohunter I want to use as a lightweight alpine deer hunting combo so the lighter the better will have a Leupold compact 3-9X scope and synthetic stock.
