After much deliberation about an entry level over and under, i was stuck. i was unsure of what to do. i couldnt afford a better o/u shot gun and ended up ordering the mossberg silver reserve. then i dropped into a friends place and he had one. it was awful he said. from the day he had it, nothing but issues. the firing pins were beating up the shells. he had maybe 20 shells through it. hw hated the gun and was waiting for the store he bought it from to refund the money and put it towards something else.
i was able to hold the gun and the barrel selector seemed slight and loose. the gun did lock up tight and the fit and finish was nice as well.
however...for what i had paid for the SR i could have gotten a benelli nova. i went back to my local gun shop, and thats what i did. i have a new synthetic benelli nova pump. one of the better guns on te go, great price, great gun...havent picked it up yet, but i have handeled it before, and loved it.
