Hi everyone, does any one no if it"s possible to convert a 700vsf 22-250 to accept a clip. this gun is a lefty if makes a difference. Iam tired of picking my ammo up out of the snow when the floor plate opens and my hands are frozen.

If you kept shooting until you were empty you wouldn't have that problem. :D

H.S. Precision make an assembly for the short action 700's in both .223 and .308 sizes. It isn't cheap and it is heavy.

Kwik-Klip only make it for the long action 700.

Do you know if the HS Precision clip assembly is a bolt-on to a factory or aftermarket stock (not HS Precision) or is gunsmithing/custom fitting required ?

I just checked out H S Precision web site ,priced out at 210.00 us .I guess i will just keep my hand under the floor plate better from now on.

The HS Precision clip is well made. I got one from guntech that he had onhand luckily, made for a 223. It works great for my 204 :D :D You are right, they are pricey but worth every penny ,and the only way to convert from a SA BDL to a clip model :) Two thumbs up

When you become older the cost don't matter when you can have that magazine on your favourite firearm. I paid it and will again for my next 700. Worth every penny and yes some fitting is required.

Your mileage may vary.......

Now you can have the bullets all fall out before you shoot with a kwik klip krap conversion....................junk.

Damn, don't tell me that. I use one and have installed about 50 of them for customers over the years and never had a problem... now they will all fail ... yikes!

Ed Begg(That's his user name too) here on the board makes them for the rem 700's, damn nice piece of kit to boot!

ED BEGG or also known as V-Bull Precision has a DM conversion that uses AICS 5 & 10 round mags.

It requires having you stock inletted for the conversion and isn't cheap, but it is extremely well made and functions like a hot damn.:D

Plus AICS Mags are fairly easy to get a hold off.

SKBY.
