Changing a reticule

Hi,I have a bushnell elite 4200 with a mildot reticule and I want to change it for a target dot.Do I have to send it to bushnell or is their other options...How much am I looking at to replace?

Might be cheaper to sell it and but the one you want. I think it might be worth doing if you lived in th U.S. but it will probably be a hassle to do here.
 
Bushnell does not do reticle changes in Canada, not sure if they do it in the USA but it would not be precticle to send it there. The only major optics company (that I'm aware of) in Canada that will so reticle changes is Korth Group (Leupold). Phil.

Things aren't like they used to be, any more. You send that scope to Kansas, you may never see it again. Scopes are now a controlled item, and I'm not sure if Bushnell can even send it back over the border to anyone but an importer...($$$)

The State Department views scopes the same as a firearm when it comes to the border, and you can't easily send a rifle to the US for warranty or repair either...
 
All US manf. now have access to paperwork to send warranty repaired goods back to the user. The only rub is if the item cannot be exported under ANY permit due to present export laws.

ie, don't be sending your Barretts back for warranty work without LOTS of paperwork to ensure its return.

Scopes should be no problem but do chat with the manf to make sure they are aware of the paperwork they need to do. Most are now.

Bushnell Canada is located in Richmond Hill Ontario, Hwy 7 and Beaver Creek area just off hwy 404. Phone # 905-771-2980 email repairlab@bushnell.com They have a repair department here since Canada is a BIG market for them. They are able to do reticule changes, and they can get whatever parts they need from head office in Kansas if they do not have the reticule you want in their parts inventory. You do not have to send it to Kansas for repair etc. Just bear in mind that this is getting to be a very busy time for them as hunting season is approaching and all the guys with broken stuff from last year, will be trying to get repaired NOW - because they have to hunting again.

This comes as a complete suprise to me as enquiries in the past have met with a negative response for reticle changes in Canada. I will confirm with my Bushnell representatives. Currently, warranty and service work at Bushnell is being quoated at 3 to 4 months wait. Phil.
