Does anyone know if you can swap/change barrels and fore stocks on the APC223? There is a line for on the stock between the receiver and foreshock that tells me the foreshock is likely changeable. But what about the barrels? Those three screws around the trunnion? Can an end user change a barrel or is this a gunsmith level job?

Likely best off buying it with the short barrel. I believe Wolverine Supplies stated that barrel changes are not at the user level - reach out them and they'll give you a quick and clear answer.

What you want to do is sell that long, NR "DMR" version of the APC223 and instead pick up a gently used 10.5" barreled standard carbine for roughly the same price. As others have noted, the alternative, retracting Buttstock is very spendy. ###y, but very spendy for what it is. Then again, that applies to the APC223 in general thanks to the high Swiss Franc....
