Changing bcl caliber to 6.5 creedmore

If I want to switch calibers on my bcl 102 from 308 to 6.5 do I just need a new barrel and bcg?

Don't need a new BCG, bolt heads are the same.

Oh really? So just a new barrel?
Any suggestions for a light 6.5 creedmore barrel?
Also will the Brownell titanium bcg work with a 6.5 creedmore barrel.

Yup any 308 ar10 bcg will work, including the titanium Brownells one. An adjustable gas block is recommended for 6.5 cm and for a titanium bcg. I like faxon barrels.

You'll want to confirm which barrel extension type the BCL uses - almost positive is it 'DPMS' LR308 pattern - in which case you'll want matching bolt/carrier... if you decide to purchase a new one. So long as the new barrel headspaces fine when you install it, you should be good to go.

Why not start with the new barrel, and use your existing bolt/carrier - if everything works perfectly, there's no need to spend the extra money!

It is a dpms extension. True no need to change the factory bcg but I'm guessing if he's going titanium maybe a light weight build?

I was just thinking about it to lighten the rifle a bit.
