Changing stock (8.5" Grizzly)

I would have thought that the question about how to change out the stock on an 870 type shotgun is exactly the type of question for the hunting/sporting section. So I guess you're wrong then eh?
I would have thought the question about how to change the stock of an 8.5" Grizzly would be best placed with people who own the actual gun not one that's sort of like it. BTW, there are some differences between the Sino 870 knock-offs and current production Remington 870s.

You will also note the OP specifically put the question to Grizzly owners not people who own a similar gun. Shooters with 8.5" Grizzly shotguns and those familiar with PGO stocks tend to be more often found in the Black and Green forum instead of here.

You might have noticed that the OP got some very good answers to his question. Even in the "wrong" forum.
I think the person asking a question should be allowed to post the question in whatever forum they want. I know it might be hard to believe, but there a lot of knowlegable people on this forum who aren't stuck in one little forum, and who are more than happy to help a brudda out. Sheesh.

While I don't agree with the need to separate the forum, I think Claybuster is just trying to educate a newbie and is being quite civil to boot.

I think the OP did get the help he needed and he now knows that there are two seperate shotgun sections.

Win-win.

You are right on the money Can-down. Your answer was what the OP was looking for and I hope I shed some light on the possible restricted status. I don't think there was a need to go to another forum since some of us were more than happy to answer the question in what I think is the correct forum for the question at hand. All is good. Win Win exactly! The end.
