I currently have a rifle with a wooden stock and I'd like to improve accuracy.

Reloading is no problem so I will go through a load development process. My question is: Will a synthetic stock such as a ramline improve things?

Ramlines are injection molded and while they wold be a good, cheap fix if your wooden stock broke, they are probably not as good as just bedding the wood stock you have now.:)

I'd have to say that once you get a sythetic stock working right for you It will remain more consistant than a wood stock. If you bed the action and or barrel on a wood stock it may be more accurate than it is now, it's all trial and error.

It can be fun as well as frustrating!!!

No Synthetic stock Will Improve Your Accuracy
If you have a problem with the wood stock, correct it. If the rifle shoots well as is then changing to a synthetic stock will not improve it's accuracy. It is more important to have the rifle properly bedded than to put money into a synthetic stock unless synthetic is what you prefer. There are other factors that favor synthetics, like others have mentioned stability is better with synthetics due to their inert materials in their construction and they are generally lighter except for the injection molded ones which tend to be heavy.
