Chaparral 1873 357

I have a Chaparral 1873 in 357 mag.Took it to the range yesterday for the first time.I shot 6 factory loads and found it was piercing the primers so I tryed 6 light cowboy loads same thing.Any ideas what would cause this?
To stiff of spring or size of firing pin?

sounds like the pin is too long to me. but if it is brand new i would just return it for one that has no problems

Too long or the end of the pin wasn't rounded during manufacturing?
