I was bassically the first to puchase two of the new Chaparral 1873 pistols
in .45 Long colt, from Marstar.
My first impressions were very high.
Fit and finish was very impressive. (inside and out)
With 50 rounds of hand loaded ammo, with home casted bullets,
and a target set at aprox 10 metres, i was very impressed with the accuracy
of both pistols shooting off hand.
I kept most rounds in or just outside the 3" black target circle.
Fellow club member also gave one a try and shot an even better group than I did.
I would recommend these guns to any shooter.
The selling price of $379. will make these a very popular pistol.
For handloaders interested in my recipe.
200 grain, lead round nose, flat point bullet (Lee mold)
5.2 grains of "Titegroup".
This is the same Cas load I use in my .44 mag rifle.
