Chaparral Single Actions?

Anybody with experience of the (Marstar) Chaparral single action revolvers? Tried the search function and came up empty. Price seems right ($379 for blued .357) but would like some reviews...if any are out there.
 
The price is excellent and I'm with you. Hopefully there'll be some opinions shortly.

I saw my first cowboy action meet this past Sunday and one of the guys wrapped me up with his gun belt and handed me his long guns. I was pretty hooked anyway but by the time I'd finished shooting the stage complete with calling out in a loud voice "DANG VARMINT SCUM" as I pushed open the salloon doors I as Hooked with a cherry on top.... :D
 
I asked the same question a while back. I guess there are not to many of them out there. There is a fair amount of feedback for Chaparral rifles... not the SAA's.

Most of the reviews of the rifles is about the older ones. I gather from searching for info that the company as well as the assembly arrangement went through some major changes. Now there's very little useful info about anything to do with Chaparral that relates to the last couple of years.

NAA, I'd be happy to pick up a couple of Piettas but neither Marstor nor Doc Rowlands has them in the configuration I'm after.

Since the review responses are not overwhelming, perhaps we should just dive head first and buy them and provide some constructive reviews. I am also seriously considering Chaparral 357 magnum 4 3/4" barrel and I was also looking for information. Let's be the pioneers. The price is good enough to make it worth the experiment.....
 
Most of the Italians function well enough for plinking right out of the box but....All Italians, rifles and revolvers (even the more expensive ones) will need work if you want them for serious cowboy competition work. They will require some or a combination of all of the following; internal polishing, spring changes or tuning, sear & sear notch engagment & alignment, sight notch enlargment and shifting to the right or left for point of impact corections.

I have't had the chance to handle any Chapparell revolvers yet but would like to test drive a couple ... ha ha ha any dealers reading.

I have handled & shot 3 Chapparell rifles 2 76's and a 66. Both 76's functioned & shot ok as niether were intended for comp. rifles.
Other than the trigger pull ( it started out at 11lb 12oz but now is at 3lb) on the 66 it came out of the box better than any Uberti (even with an action job) I have ever seen. Very smooth & quick and ready for any cowboy competitor. If it stands up to a lot of use it is definitly a keeper.
