Chaparral win 94/22

Good question! There hasn't been many posts about the Chappral's except the one to complain about the lousy fit and finsh complete with pictures! Looked like a Norinco that slipped through quality control.....

I looked but I can't find that old thread but I seem to recall the sights were crooked and the gun was poor in fit and finsh which is odd because on Marstar's description they calim,
Don’t be misled by inferior offerings on the market. This is a high quality Italian firearm.
Every firearm that bears the Chaparral name can be relied upon for exquisite craftsmanship,
an authentic oil finish, and adherence to strict quality controls.
Chaparral Arms: not just a replica, but a Tribute.
The good thing is it's pretty cheap and marstar will take it back if it's a turd......

Marstar is blowing them out cheap because they were made by angry Italians during a labor dispute....I think I'd want to see some detailed pictures first since it's a no return type deal.

Makes you wonder how many people were sold these guns
at the regular price.
Yeh go figure, Europe is possibly heading for the crapper,
but the people at the Chaparral gun plant want more money,
and will make crappy guns untill they get their demands met.

I'm not seeing anything on the Marstar site for what they are blowing them out at. But regardless of this if they are all anything like the sad case in the linked thread in 12.6envy's post I wouldn't touch any of them with a 10 foot cleaning rod ! ! ! !

Chasseur, if you're after a reasonably low cost lever .22 look no further than a Henry Model H001. It's a basic but honestly finished gun with a slick, buttery smooth action and the one I've got is a far better shooter than its sadly inadequite owner.... :D

Oh...

Still, if it comes with even half the problems related to sights and general assembly as shown in the linked thread that's about $190 too much. The poor finish and quality of the wood I could live with as that's easily corrected. But the poor fitting of the barrel or magazine tube and sights is just unforgivable.

I suppose it could be a good project gun for some but there again if there's some "deal killers" in the mix internally then it could be money down the drain.
