Got this home to work with, 22 1/2 barrel which is odd for a English stalking rifle
Barrel has 4 groove rifling and around 1 turn in 46 inch so may shot a bullet, have test fired it with balls so far
Sighted to 300 yard and about 6 1/2 pounds
I like to shoot my old rifles if they are good and have hunted with them should this one go deer hunting this year?

I certainly would not hesitate to hunt with it. Without checking my guns, the barrel looks very similar in proportion to two of my rifles; one british and one german, both 63 or 64 caliber. Beautiful looking rifle
