Charged By Mamma Bear Today!!

Ya that'll put some skittles in the skivies.
All it would have taken is a moment of panic, and you'd be some kinda marked up.

apply for an ATC LOL. In the list of the top ten things that need to be done to make this worker safe that is pretty close to the bottom. Any employer that sent him out in that condition in the first place aint gonna sign nothing and risk anyone asking the hard questions.
The OP is kinda like saying "so my boss gave me a forty to drink at the office and then sent me out in the seat beltless, uninsured company truck to pick up KFC" and the advice from the peanut gallery being get hot sauce and lots of ketchup.
Yeah great he was'nt hurt but what about the next guy that comes along and has to work in the same conditions? If you ask me I kinda wish he'd gotten enough of a scratch to require an investigation.

yeah that's pretty lucky! i'm glad you got out okay!

me and my dad went fishing once out in the middle of nowhere when we got off out trail and put our gear in the back of out car we heard a noise and we looked on the path we just got off and there was a huge sow with 3cubs running up the trail!

I would hate to see what the scenario would have been if we would have been 2mins late or took a small breather!

sorry if I missed it but was it a blackie or grizz? I'm thinking black bear or you wouldn't be here to write this.....

It was a Blackie!! As for the dirty skivies.......It all happen so damn fast that I didn't actually have time to get scared!........That being said....10min later after I rolled the situation around in my head.......I was shaking like a damn leaf!!!! Thanks for the well wishes...Appreciated!!!

Why the fuss over an ATC for a handgun? You can carry a rifle or shotgun as long as you have a PAL. Both are more useful than a handgun anyway.:)

I do wildlife damage claims on forage crops in bear and cat country and carry a slung rifle or shotgun in addition to all the other ash and trash that I pack along-camera, GPS, measuring stick, shovel, canteen, clip board, etc. It's a little cumbersome, but worth the effort to pack a long gun along.:)
