Chargemaster, Hornady, Or Smartloader???

Just wondering if anyone has tried one of these? They dont look like there 2 bad. I know its not a chargmaster but im looking at either one of these or the chargemaster or the hornady.i know to look at customer serivce but im sure these guys would be no worse or better than rcbs.

Chargemaster. I can't believe I wait this long to buy one. It cuts my reloading time in half. Just remember to close the clean up spout or you will be sorry.
 
X2 ChargeMaster. I have a A&W straw in the end of the tube to not get chunks falling out.
IMHO The others pale in comparison!

I keep thinking I'm going to buy one. I'm leaning towards the RCBS from Natchez as well.

I have not used any "Smartloader" tools yet, and don't know when I will after checking out some US reviews.

1 little quirk with it, if your useing a stick powder (such as varget) what can happen is, set gn weight, dispense, a big clump can fall out, it beeps as if its done, and gives u a count of how many dispensed, then it will show the true weight of the charge, iv had it up to .4gn over just have to keep an eye on it
 
Another vote for RCBS's ChargeMaster......and I've owned 2 of them. To avoid "clumping" of extruded powder, I have made an insert for the drop tube that reduces the diameter of the tube slightly. This prevents a buildup at the tip when the unit switches speed as the load weight is approached. Works every time.

I love my Chargemaster Combo. Like Grinch, I made an insert to put in the dispenser tube. I cut off a 7x57 case and it fits just right. It eliminates those "clumps" of extruded powder mentioned, and I now get 1 charge in about 25 that is over .1 gn. Regards, Eagleye.

I don't think they have any of the newer products like the Hornady, or the Smartloader.
I have heard the Smart product is a real POS.
I have the new hornady product and it works well, got it in the usa last year.Saved a few bucks over the Charge master. FS

Ya i didnt find anything about the smartloader or the hornady on there. Im asking about the hornady as one of the vendors sells them and they are about the same as the rcbs if bought from south but i would be supporting a vendor. Thats mainly why im asking. I have found no reviews on either one so thats why im asking others out here. I know the rcbs reputation is good, but there has to be others out there.
 
Well i bought a hornady today. I figured i might as well try it as its all they had. The shop owner has sold 5 so far and only 1 returned as it would not calibrate. But he said the others have been using theres with zero issues. He told me that if i want satisfied with it he would refund me 100% NQA. Ill post some pics and a review after i have loaded a few rounds this evening.

I just saw those in my Sinclair catalog and you should be able to benefit from the free bullets promotion (according to catalog)
 
Cannot speak of the others but the Chargemaster is awesome! I will NEVER go without one again! Very easy to use, and the warranty cannot be beat, not that you will have much need for it.

Well i just finished loading up some roads. Im pretty happy with the unit. I loaded up 50 rounds of varget for my 204 ruger and out of the 50 it threw 2 over charges and 1 can can blame on me bumping the bench a touch. I did the whole calibrate thing before i used it and i must admit i dont know how i went this long with out one. Im rather impressed as its loading up a charge you can press the last one and be ready for the next. So far so good, im planning on loading up another 300-400 rounds of 204 and another 300-500 22-250 in the next couple weeks so ill report back after i have some more loaded to let you gues know how its working out. As for price, it was 299.99 plus tax. The rcbs at wholesale was 549.99.
