Charles Daly 101 single shot 12g, looking for opinions

I just purchased one of these brand new for under $180. I used to own a hatsan optima 12g which looked similar and was great. Just wondering if anyone has the Charles daly 101 and can tell me how they like it?

Ive been tempted by the 20ga version. Not sure why but the charles daly semi auto i have has been flawless

Ill let you know how it is when it arrives! I mean for the price why not. The hatsan optima was 200$ and it was very well made, i regret selling it. If this is close to the same quality it should be decent!

The shotgun is great! Seems to be of slightly better quality than the hatsan optima. Nice gold beed sight. Walnut stock is basic but good quality. Trigger is good. Kicks like a mule as all single shots do lol for the price cant go wrong!! It also accepts beretta/benelli mobile chokes which is nice.

Thanks for the update. I just not sure if i can do a folder again. I much prefer the traditional break action. Ive been interested in the stevens 301 since released but i just dont have a need for a single shot shotgun. I agree for the money and for walnut the charles daly is a good buy especially when site sponsors like sfrc have 12 to 15% off

Is anybody having misfires with their charles daly 101? Mine will not shoot half the cartridges I feed him.
