I just bought a brand new Charles Daly C4S - 12 gauge bullpup.
I took it to the range today after tearing it down, cleaning it up, and lightly lubing it.
I shot 80 factory rounds - 1 1/8” score slugs.
This was the result...
1) not sure if slugs were hitting the flash hider, or the clean thin aluminum was extremely susceptible to flame erosion.
2) at some point I lost a pin from the bolt catch. I had a few light strikes which I now know are when the hammer hit the bolt catch instead. I didn’t notice the pin was missing until I got home.
Now here’s the thing and my question. Cabelas doesn’t cover anything, I’d have to go through Chiapa to hope they fixed this. Should I just put a pin in myself and accept the flash hider getting beat up? Or ship my brand new gun at my expense to Chiapa?
