Charles Daly???

I had a 3.5" something or other (real tree camo, was a turkey package or something). It took a licken, kept on ticken.
It was REAL light, which is nice, but DAMN, the 3.5" Magnum Turkey loads through the included XX Turkey Choke were nasty for recoil.

Had my hands on one at a Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation dinner. It was a 20 bore auto. My god was it a piece of sh--. It just confirmed my belief that guns made in Turkey are just that, Turkeys! Now this is only my opinion and like you know opinions are like a--holes, every body has one.

take care Darryl

Have a Charles Daly pump with a 18.5 inch bbl on it and I am happy with it. I have run about 1000 rounds of various types of ammo through it with no hiccups whatsoever. The only downside is the lack of accessories.

The trouble with the question is that it doesn't specify which Charles Daly. Daly is an importer/buyer of guns from various parts of the world. Their over/unders are made by Miroku the same people who make Brownings. Not bad guns although not as nicely fitted and finished as the more expensive Brownings.

The semis and pumps come from Turkey and while some aren't bad the QC issues are huge and you stand as good a chance of getting a pooch as a princess.

They advertise two sxs guns. The boxlock is made by Hermanos Zabala and they are guns best avoided. Their top end sidelock is made by Armas Grulla and they are very good guns.

Older Daly's might have come from anywhere. A Lindner Daly sxs would be a definite find. They are very desirable guns.

I've had two maxi mags. Both kicked like muels. Both had ejection problems. Those were my first and last of those. Just my 2 cents.

Dave.

 Even the importer has problems promoting the guns. After a big splash, everyone is doing the Osterich! Spend the few extra $$ and get a Beretta or Benelli.!
