Anyone here have experience with these revolvers...I had planned on purchasing one however one store that had been selling them told me he felt they had a lot of problems with their barrels, bulging etc and so he stopped handling them...Now I'm not too sure I want one...But I really like the idea of a revolver in .40.

I have an old Charter Arms. great gun. I have heard that newer versions have had a lot of QC issues.

I suggest the minimum entry level quality gun is Taurus. I have bought some Ruger Security Six revolvers on EE and found them excellent. Good quality and not as clunky as the GP100.

Thanks Ganderite, I've read a lot of reviews on the .40 and all were good but that was with the 2.75" barrel...I actually was told by a supporting dealer that he stopped selling them, the 5" barrels because of barrel quality...But he didn't say how long ago...As far as I know these .40's are pretty new. Well I'm going to wait and get more info...

Well, I've read a little more online and it doesn't get better...Nothing about the barrels so much but just poor quality...Gonna pass...Too bad I'd love a revolver in .40. Well maybe a .44 mag will help me out lol
