Charter Arms 44 Bulldog Blued Revolver

Anyone here know what the availability is of the Charter Arms 44 Bulldog blued revolver???? I'm looking for something around the 4.2-4.5 inch barrel length.

I see that Epps has the 5 inch barrel in stainless, but I'm looking for one that is black.

This is the pistol that was used as the base for the bladerunner blaster used by Harrison Ford, so I'd like to get this specific model.

They only sell the classic model with a 3" barrel. I wish they made it in 4.2", I'd much prefer fixed sights.

About your only option would be to find a prohib and have a new barrel made.

Stainless can be coated to black, such as Ceracote

How durable is the finish and how much do you think a gunsmith would charge for that????

Just out of curiosity, why the preference for blued over stainless? I own guns with both finishes. The SS guns don't wear like blued guns and they show you where they are dirty.

Back when ss guns first came out, the 'sperts of the gun mags wrote about how they would show up in the hands of users. Really? Like nickle plated guns didn't already?

Nickled and ss guns resist corrosion from sweat, humidity and some solvents.
