CHAS 6th Annual Zombie Shoot - Family Event June 14th, 2014

This is going to be a great shoot. Just picked up 2240 rounds of .223, 1040 rounds of .308, 800 shotgun, and 5 boxes of clays. Now we just need people to come use it all up. Any volunteers?!

5 days until epic zombie slaying! Is everybody ready? There is a rumor that we might have a cure for the virus, but you will have to get it to the CDC to save the world!! Who can do it the fastest and kill all the zombies? Better come out and see if it will be you!!

Heading out at 1pm tomorrow to start setting up. Truck so full I can barely get in. Thanks to all the people who are volunteering their time to make this happen. Hope to see lots if people out on Saturday. Supposed to be nice out.

That was great fun guys!

I am not sure who had more fun. My younger sister at the .22 dueling tree, or me for my sub 3 minute "zombie" shoot. It is safe to say I will be back again, maybe even for your guys next match. Only killer is the 3+hr drive. But it was worth all of it, bloody knuckles and all.

The shoot went off great!! We had over 100 people out throughout the day for the whole event and I think 51 shooters on the Zombie Shoot!! This is the biggest year to date. I'm glad to hear people had a good time. I want to say THANK YOU VERY MUCH to all the volunteer support we had both during setup and managing the event. It was a grueling 2 days. We had volunteers from Friday at 1pm to 10:30pm setting up the shoot and the shoot rand from 6:40am-10:30pm for final tear down. This doesn't come together without a big effort from the volunteers, so I want to as a big thank you to the people involved and see you next year!!

I did all but the .22 shoot - ran short of time- and am really thrilled with how awesome this event was put together , thanks a ton to all the volunteers , couldn't be done without your efforts. I ran the zombie course twice , only thing that might get me in trouble is that now I'm even more excited to do 3gun competition - yeah first world problems lol. And I need to develop a load for my .308 , so I can hit at 500 more consistently , surplus works okay but now I've gotten my feet wet and want to do better . Thanks again guys!

Alright guys, here are the rankings from the shoot. I have prepared two separate lists. The main one is all the shooters who came out for the shoot, it shows your time and your misses. (No penalties are asigned for the misses) The second is a list of the 3-gun Executive and League members who ended up shooting it at the end of the day. In true 3-gun fashion, we assigned a 9 second penalty for each of our misses so that we wouldn't just run through it as fast as possible and game it up (Trevor)Laugh2. Take a look and see if joining up with 3-Gun is something you would like to do, if so, PM me or check out our website at www.chas3gun.com

Another great zombie shoot !!! I Wish to thank all the people that helped out and made this whole event at the Genesee range a huge success yesterday ! I look forward to next years shoot !

Just the bragging rights and the knowledge that he would have had the best chance of surviving the Zombie apocalypse! Although he did leave 7 zombies chasing him through the infested town! Should have staged a hammer at the hardware store. Might have to think about adding a bludgeoning stage for next year! With a course speed that fast, he should be coming out to 3-gun and see if he can keep up with us. He would likely beat most of our regulars. You guys should sign up and start coming.

With this year going so well, next year we may try to get some prizes. We didn't try to make this a competition as we wanted all the new shooter to be able to come out with no pressure and just have a good time.

I must say I'm impressed with my time. Didn't break 5 minutes (I'm sure that I would have been faster at 10 AM than I was at 7 PM) but I wasn't in the bottom 3 this time! :)
