Beautiful pictures of the high elevation lakes!
It really looks like an area I hunted in northern B.C. in 1993! REEAAALLY like it!!!
We hunted Stones and Goats for 3 and a half weeks.
It was an adventure of a life time! I lost 35lbs!
Incredibly fresh air, with a sweet aroma unlike anywhere else I have ever been!
God I loved everything about it! I was brutally hard on me, but soooooooooo worth it!
We camped on the leward side of a mountain top, and used the daily runoff from a little glacier for our water. There wasnt much more water sources there that year. Man was that water ever goood!!! Its hard to describe how refreshing it was!
We nearly lost one of our tents one morning to the winds! Luckily, I had slept in, and just happened to catch my friends tent before it plunged over the edge of the mountain side! AND I MEAN BARLEY!!! Can you imagine how we would have had to pile 4 of us into a 3 man tent for two more weeks!? Yikes!
BIG BORE14:
You wrote a fine story, using suspense, and reader antisipation, mixing the story lines very well!
It reminds me of when I was a younger hunter and loved writing!
Trust me, wright the story out, and send it to many different publications. One of them will surely use it!
I know the satisfaction of having your stories published for the world to see! Theres nothing like it!
I have had the privilage to have some of my work published over the years in a magazine. Its exciting/rewarding to see your pictures and story in a glossy magazine! It makes us realise, we all have a story to tell. "ALL OF US!"
Some of us are just story tellers from the start with a creative heart.
If you ever have kids, they will love to see thier dad in a magazine! Have I convinced you yet?
If you dont succeed in getting a magazine to publish it, consider keeping a long term series of stories, and try to publish them your self in a personal hunting book platform/ or online like your profession. KEEP TAKING PICTURES! you seem to have an eye for it!
Again, well done and it was a fresh, creative, inventive way to tell your tale! Congrats!
Straight shootin you gunnutz!
