Chasing away the quarantine blues with some DIY stock painting!

Looks great. Ive painted a few synthetic stocks and although theyve looked they seem to not last when using rustolium paint. Even under clear coat and on primer. Hope yours holds up it looks good
 
That turned out great. Thanks for the how to write up. Project ideas like this are great during these times. I assume you used a matte finish clear coat? Let us know how it holds up after some time in the field.

I have a Suzuki Sidekick that sees a lot of bush, and a pistol that I handle quite a bit painted with the Rustoleum Camo paint, and that stuff really does hold up well.

That rifle turned out great! I'm kind of a wood stock guy, but it's really cool to be able to paint a synthetic stock to personalize it, and make it look good.
 
Nice job! The webbing paint definitely needs a bit of practice to get the effect you want; yours turned out beautifully.

Home Depot is another source for that stuff; I forget what their price was, but certainly nowhere even close to $40.
 
Awesome job, I’d let you paint my rifle stocks any day! Thanks for your write up, you have given me the courage to start to piece together for my first stock paint job! I’ll get the Krylon paint locally. Did you have a link or brand of stringy spray paint you used?
