Chatham Kent Police looking for rifle donations

I truly hope that they don't get a single one!

Let them go through the chop pile and glue some bits back together if they want them so bad.
Better yet can you picture them doing the salute in their dress uniforms holding bright orange replicas that go "squeak" when you pull the trigger? That might be fitting. The hell with heritage and tradition - real blanks might scare the birds or something....

I hope no one goes. If you consider all the rifles and otehr firearms they have destroyed over the years, I would never donate or even sell them a firearm. If they wanted enfields they should have bought them from the Feds when they were getting rid of them.
And you never know, it could be a trick just to "get more dangerous guns off the street" and any rifle sold/given to them has a one way ticket to the smelter. I bet they would probably crucify any one who tried to sell/give them a rifle who didnt have a license or gun registered.

That is funny to contemplate! Although I am a peace officer, it would only be when Hell is knee deep in snow that I would give, sell, donate or lend any of my firearms to a police force for any reason. As stated in some posts above, I would only have to think about the glee with which they chopped up so many beautiful old (and new) firearms to cancel any stupid idea about "civic duty".
