Hey all, just picked up this lower budget .270 win. ammo, and the brass doesn't seem right, as in new and shiny. Is this normal?
Thanks.

I've never found the Winchester foam inserts to be that good at protecting the soft point tips, either. It degrades over time, and the rounds end up rattling around. OP, as others mentioned, that's just normal tarnish from the age of that ammo. It'll shoot fine, but if you care, you can give it a quick wipe down with a polishing rag, but I'd avoid getting anything on the primers.

You should see Remington's UMC line. It looks like it's been stored in the bottom of a freighter!

It still goes bang.
