Hi all,
As most of you can see from my posts, I'm really getting into the entire .45 1911 scene :D
I would like to know where I would be able to get some .45 ACP ammo at good prices in and around the Montreal area?
So far Districorp is out and Lebaron has Win and Rem for just under 16$ per 50 rnds. Me wants cheaper :D
I'd be looking for JRP and really want some JHP in 200+grains
I appreciate any and all input :D
Cheers,

For newly manufactured ammunition, Lebaron will be quite hard to beat (if they have any in stock, which is rarely the case...). For even cheaper, you could try Centaure reloaded ammunition located in Laval, I can't give you a price, but I know that they give you a credit when you bring some brass back.

If you want JHP's, I suggest you forget about tetting them under 16$ a box. JHP commercially loaded ammunition is usually high-end stuff (read police issue ammunition) which is quite expensive. But why would you want to waste money on HPs, they won't do any more damage to a paper or cartboard target than a regular FMJ.

Remember, unless you load your own, .45ACP and Cheap don't go together. My best advice would be that you get equipped for reloading, then you'll get cheap 45, at at least 1/3, or even 1/4 of new commercial ammunition

For reloaded ammo- you can get it also at the Club de tir de Ville St-Pierre.
For factory ammo, the best price lately was at Londero Sport in St-Jean. $15.89 for Winchester white box 230 grain FMJ.
Armurerie Lusignant in St-Hyacinte sell American Eagle 230 grains FMJ around the same price $15/$16$ a box of 50.

You should start reloading : $6/$7 for 50 rounds/ 200 LSWC up to $10/$11( taxes in ) for 230 grains FMJ. Big saving in the long run.
