I wish I could get 54R ammo that cheap. Me and a couple buddies split Frontiers 2640 pack a couple weeks back, paid $280 each shipped. Thought it was a steal of a deal. I guess living on a rock in the middle of the Atlantic has to have some draw backs.

?? Your deal was better than the $225 for 880

225 for a case of 880 in Edmonton is a not bad price. The going rate is usually 275 and places like Wild West even higher. I picked up a few cases last month, although last december ther was a brief sale for 200 bucks, so you gotta keep an eye out.

Mosin rifles are can be anywhere from 160 bucks and up depending on any collector value, but they all shoot fine. Have you tried Westrifle? Myself and shooting buddies have picked up dozens of rifles from these guys in the last year or two. They do have rifles superior to other retailers.

Last year I got a case of 880 russian surplus "silver tips" for 164.50 from wholesale sports, I still think the pretty young thing at the counter rung it up wrong however.... lol

I have cracked off about 200 rounds of it so far and have had 4 duds. Primers won't go off no matter how many times you strike em.

I'm guessing that it was an error in pricing as well, but hey, thats the price. Maybe they wanted to clear it to get it out? Either way its a super good price. I would be prepared to bulk buy a dozen cases if its local. There are good prices out there but shipping will kill the deal if its not local.

Problem I have is that none of the local dealers are willing to sell in bulk. They'll only sell by the 20 round pack. But I've got some stocked up now, should last me till Christmas when it hopefully goes on sale online somewhere for dirt cheap.

I think its your local stores. I need my truck when I make an ammo purchase here in Alberta. Some stores are willing to negotiate a better price if you wave a big hand full of hundred dollar bills in front of them.

The local stores seem to know what it costs to have a case of ammo shipped, and they generally price accordingly.

i know for westrifle or corwin online for the moisins ... last crate i bought from wholesale was a 269$ + tax nearly a year ago , more htan half this crates shot in my SVT and no missfire all is good so when i see the price yetserday i was like they atre cheaper that time to stock up ^^

Its definitely my local stores. On everything else they're great to deal with, never had a problem. But they won't budge on the price of surplus, 9.99 + tax for 20 rounds, take it or leave it. When I ask why, they tell me its to hard to get to sell it in bulk. Personally I think they're just making to much money at that price to be bothered to sell it in bulk. I always prefer to buy things local, but why would I when I can buy it online for roughly half the price, and that's including shipping.

Read above posted by CanAm. I personally vouch for their legitimacy and good prices, shipping, and service.

I try really hard to support my local shops first, but I do not support Piracy.

Yup! Saw it. Unfortunately I already have 2 spam cans sitting around waiting for use. I will remember this for future reference though. :)

I've got two crates of the wss bulgarian x54 still but will be looking to Canada ammo for replenishment as I has a good buying experience from them last time.
